The Small Dari Round Jute Rug will add beautiful natural warmth and texture to your home. It's circular shape will soften a room and the thick weave of this piece is lovely and soft underfoot. The natural blonde jute colour is timeless and will suit most decor styles and palettes however we think it works particularly well amongst whites, other natural fibres and warm tones of timber and rattan.

At 150cms in diameter, this handwoven small jute rug will sit beautifully in a child's bedroom or playroom as a comfortable surface for your little ones to play on. The scale and size of the small Dari rug also makes it ideal for adding an extra layer of texture to a home office, walk in wardrobe, small living room or an entryway. The natural fibres of jute are durable, making this rug perfect for high traffic areas.

This timeless round area rug has been handmade by fair trade artisans in a small village community of Bangladesh. Designed by The Dharma Door and handcrafted by talented women artisans in a rural community of Bangladesh, the women hand twist thick lengths of natural jute and then coil and weave them together. A genuine Fair Trade partnership ensures the women who make these rugs are paid fairly, provided with consistent work and safe working conditions, among a host of other benefits that are in keeping with the Ten Principles of Fair Trade.

• - Hand-twisted jute 
  - The circle is crafted by coiling lengths of hand-twisted jute, which are meticulously hand knotted together.
• - Our rugs are crafted entirely by hand with natural jute and special care is required to maintain their beautiful appearance.
  - We suggest regular vacuuming of both sides of your rug to keep it fresh and free of dirt build-up. Occasionally take your rug outside on a dry day and shake or beat it to dislodge deeper dirt particles that your vacuum may not extract.
  - Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or heat as this will discolour the jute fibres.
  - Blot water-based spills with kitchen paper or an absorbent cloth as soon as possible. Do not rub stains or spills from your rug as this may spread the stain and loosen the jute fibres. For oil-based or coloured spills, please consult a specialist rug cleaning professional.
  - For safety purposes, we recommend that you use non-slip rubber or felt matting underneath this rug.
  - You may choose a rug protection treatment prior to installing the rug in your space to prolong the life of your rug and minimise discolouration. We recommend MicroSeal, who are experienced in treating jute rugs and offer a DIY kit or a professional treatment service.
